Lovely to meet with Becky Beevers and again, in lieu of sending Christmas cards or gifts to our clients and contacts, J. P. Wild Ltd is proud to continue its support of St Gemma’s Hospice and make a financial donation to the charity instead.
We have a long association with the Moortown based Hospice, whose care is always provided free-of-charge and is open to patients of all beliefs, religions and cultures. St Gemma’s provides the best possible palliative and end of life care for local people with cancer and other life threatening illnesses, specialising in pain relief and symptom control to help people live as well as possible for as long as possible. Care is provided both at the Hospice and out in the community, being tailored and offered to the needs of patients and carers.
St Gemma’s relies on the support and generosity of the community to help raise the funds needed and it costs £9million each year to keep the Hospice’s doors open. Our donation helps pay for a St Gemma’s Community Team member to visit 8 patients in their own homes which is where the majority of patients would prefer to be during their illness.
