Bo’ Selecta, as we all know, is JCT building contract terminology meaning Bowman Riley Architects & Building Consultancy has appointed J. P. Wild as Principal Contractor!
We are currently onsite on our largest awarded project to date for Bowman Riley and we are absolutely delighted. In this instance, we are in Burley in Wharfedale, North West of Leeds and undertaking a comprehensive and phased programme of works for their client to both the Queens Hall and Library buildings, in the heart of the village, with the refurbishments aiming to secure the future of both buildings and provide modern efficient spaces for the local community.
Works to the Queens Hall, originally built in 1868, comprise replacement windows and the addition of a single storey extension to the north side to provide a new entrance, lobby and multi-purpose store room. Further internal alterations are also being undertaken, together with associated decoration and M&E works. Additionally, a public accessible WC is also being created.
Works to the Library building are to commence in April 2019 and shall primarily comprise over-roofing, replacement windows, the creation of a disabled toilet and a new kitchen.
