The Project
J.P.Wild have recently completed the extension, internal and external refurbishment works at the Queens Hall and neighbouring library buildings, which are situated in the heart of Burley in Wharfedale, north west of Leeds.
The works to the Hall involved the construction of a single-storey extension to the north side to provide a new entrance, lobby and multi-purpose room. All windows were replaced with conservation grade steel windows and doors were replaced on a like for like basis. Internal alterations and refurbishment of the existing facility were undertaken, in addition to the formation of a new public accessible WC.
The works to the Library involved replacement power coated aluminium windows and doors, new flooring, suspended ceilings and lighting and the creation of a new disabled toilet and kitchen.
This extension and refurbishment works have significantly improved the appearance and functionality of both buildings, providing the local community with a fantastic venue that can be utilised for a variety of social functions.
