J.P. Wild have recently commenced the refurbishment works at YMCA Barnsley, 1 Blucher St, Barnsley S70 1AP.
The works comprise of Reroofing, External façade upgrades including concrete remediation and new render system, Replacement of windows and doors, Replacement of shop fronts, new entrance installed and the existing ramped entry and foyer is to be remodelled, a new entrance is to be created to provide direct, separate access to the sports hall, Alterations to existing utilities and services, Hard / soft landscaping works including extending and relaying of car park surface, Refurbishment of changing/WC facilities including internal finishes (floors, walls, ceilings), Internal refurbishment works, Remodel existing layout to extend Chilypep kitchen facilities – strip out and install new.
The works will be carried out over a 35-week period under a JCT Intermediate Building Contract with Contractors Design. The building will be a tenanted live environment and will be phased accordingly. Updates to follow…
