J.P. Wild have recently completed the warehouse refurbishment works at Units 2&3, Great Eastern Retail Park, Rotherham, S62 6EJ. The works involved the refurbishment and alterations to combine Unit 2 & Unit 3 ahead of the incoming tenant ‘B&Q’.
There was a full strip out of the existing units including the demolition of the existing full height dividing wall between units 2 & 3, the roof was fully cleaned and cut edge corrosion carried out, there were new glazed entrance screens and automatic bi-folding doors installed to the front and rear. A new opening was created in the rear elevation and new sectional door installed, the existing finished floor level in unit 2 was raised to match the existing floor slab in unit 3, the existing slab in unit 3 was ground and polished, a new external retail / garden centre slab was created along with new security fencing and gates. We constructed a new internal staff accommodation block and a new 60-minute fire rated wall between the retail space and the delivery bay.
The works were completed on time and within budget.
