J.P. Wild have recently commenced the capital refurbishment works at Newsome Academy, Castle Avenue, Newsome, Huddersfield, HD4 6JN. The works involve asbestos removal, internal refurbishments, window / door replacement, mechanical and electrical works and roofing works.
The works will be completed over a 52-week programme under a JCT Intermediate Contract, the works will be broken down into 12 phases to make sure the school can run as normal whilst the works are been carried out.
The site set up has now been completed with containers in place to store the school’s furniture whilst the refurbishment works are carried out. Phase 1 strip out works and 1st fix M&E works are well under way with the notifiable asbestos removal imminent.
