J. P. Wild Ltd has recently been appointed Principal Contractor by Sanderson Weatherall LLP on behalf of their client and we shall shortly be commencing on site at Lakeview Court, a highly regarded development with executive style apartments, situated in the affluent and sought after North Leeds suburb of Roundhay. Roundhay is famous for its Victorian Park, the second largest city park in Europe at over 700 acres of parkland, lakes and woodland. Lakeview Court sits on the edge of the Park and benefits from open views overlooking Waterloo Lake to the rear and Soldiers Field to the front and side.
The 20 week programme will see a comprehensive scope of works being carried out under a JCT Intermediate Form of Building Contract 2011 with Contractors Design. The works will primarily entail perimeter scaffolding being erected to enable the removal of all existing windows and the replacement with new double glazed powder coated aluminium framed units, together with the preparation of the elevations and a new external finish to be applied, as yet to be decided. There will also be alterations and reconfigurations to the penthouse apartment, namely No 22, with the construction of a new lightweight steel framed structure, to a new larger footprint maximising living space, complete with complimentary curtain walling following the demolition.
Finally, the works also encompass the demolition of 6 No. single storey garages located to the rear of the development, minor adaptations of the drainage as required and the establishment of new car parking spaces.
