J.P.Wild have made a donation of £5,000 to the British Heart Foundation in support of our colleague who underwent a heart operation this Autumn.
Stewart Ross, 46, collapsed when leaving work one afternoon with severe chest pains. He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary and diagnosed with aortic dissection, an injury to the aorta allowing blood to flow between the layers of the aortic wall. Stewart underwent a 12-hour lifesaving operation to replace his aortic valve and repair the artery.
J.P. Wild have made the donation in lieu of sending out Christmas cards this year. We would like to thank the Leeds General Infirmary and NHS for saving Stewart’s life.”
Steph Jones, Fundraising Manager at the British Heart Foundation, said: “We’re so grateful to the J.P. Wild team for their generous donation, which will help us to fund better ways to prevent, treat and cure heart and circulatory diseases, which affect 84,000 people in Leeds. The donation from J.P. Wild will help us beat heartbreak this Christmas.”
