January and the New Year sees the Christmas break becoming a rapidly fading memory as J. P. Wild Ltd commences on site, as Principal Contractor, in Preston for MAC Construction Consultants Ltd (Project Manager) and their client.
A 14 week design and build contract sees the construction of a new Costa Coffee unit and ‘Drive Thru’ together with associated external works as part of an ongoing phased redevelopment of the existing Queens Shopping Park, prominently positioned fronting the busy A6 London Road / A59 Stanley Street, in the Horrocks Quarter of the City.
The unit comprises sub structure brick & block and concrete slab & structural steel works, followed by wall & roof cladding and the installation of gypframe, plasterboard, doors and windows. External works will comprise hard & soft landscaping, street furniture, an external ‘Drive Thru’ lane, patio & parking area, lighting, sign foundations & ductwork, surface & foul water drainage, together with mains water, electricity & telecoms supplies to the site.
