A pre-commencement photo shoot on site with the Lord Mayor of Leeds, Councillor Jane Dowson, Marie Peacock and some of the other staff from Candlelighters, Andrew Walker and Nick Martyn of ECO Integrated Property Solutions and our own John Paul Doherty.
Candlelighters is a registered charity that supports families facing children’s cancer in Yorkshire.
Brandon Cottage, to be renamed Candlelighters Cottage, is just a short walk from Leeds Children’s Hospital and has been acquired by the charity to provide a home from home; for use by families when their child is an inpatient receiving treatment.
J. P. Wild is acting as Principal Contractor on its first awarded project for ECO Integrated Property Solutions, as Contract Administrator and we could not be more delighted to be working with them and their client. A comprehensive 16 week strip out and refurbishment programme of external and internal works is being undertaken that will essentially allow Candlelighters to provide four extra rooms with en-suite facilities per night, 365 days a year. The cottage will also provide a downstairs shared area that will be made into one large kitchen diner and lounge area, allowing the opportunity for families to support each other.
Progress updates to follow and should anyone wish to understand more about the fantastic work undertaken by Candlelighters, the charity’s website at https://lnkd.in/e2GH_3K will provide a greater insight.
