J.P. Wild have recently commenced the refurbishment and extension works to convert the redundant Rose & Crown public house in Almondbury, Huddersfield into a new C.4,950ft² Co-Op convenience store.

The works will save the grade 2 listed building which is located within a conservation area, the building has remained empty for years and has become an eyesore on the village’s main street. Over the last few months, we have agreed a layout with Co-Op and a strategy with the structural engineers to enable conversion of the existing pub into a Co-Op convenience store.

We are working closely with the Co-Op to create their new store and we hope to build another speculative unit adjacent.
