We are delighted to have been appointed Principal Contractor by Jones Lang LaSalle Limited on behalf of their client, The Prudential Assurance Company Limited and the project team at M & G Real Estate in relation to 11 Coney Street, York. Coney Street is one of York’s main shopping streets and dates back as far as 1213. It runs along the course of a stretch of Roman road that ran almost parallel to the eastern bank of the River Ouse. Some of the buildings in the street are timber-framed structures and our project site location will see us working adjacent to the medieval church of St Martin–le Grand, a Grade II Star Listed Parish Church.
The project at the former Greggs occupied premises will see us undertake various Landlord’s works prior to the arrival of a new incoming tenant. Principally, this will comprise internal stripping out works at ground floor level (including the previous tenant’s fixtures and fittings), partitions, M&E installations, external repairs to hard landscaping and external elevations, together with the installation of a new waterproofing membrane to the main roof area.
